May: Our members only retreat is held this month. Great fun, piecing and food!
June: This year we will be having an auction. Members donate items, which will be packaged beautifully to earn a prize. Proceeds will benefit our programs.
July: Members will be spending our program time making quilts to donate to charities.
August: Lisa Burmann from Red House Designs will be our speaker with a trunk show/lecture with a workshop following. Lisa is a master at applique and will be teaching several methods.
September: Our annual quilt show. Amazing, beautiful, creative quilts will be displayed in the Virginia Horse Center mezzanine in conjunction with the Rockbridge County Fair.
October: Our own member, Carol Schoner, will be teaching us how to make an origami purse. It’s a beautiful piece!
November: Shannon Shirley of One In a Rabbit Moon will be doing a lecture/trunk show entitled “Eclectic” showcasing her variety of projects. A workshop follows entitled “Creative Labels” which will inspire us to put labels on our quilts.
December: Our annual Christmas party will be a fun-filled feast of celebration!
The Rockbridge Pieceworkers Quilt Guild (RPQG) will put on its annual quilt show, Quilts in the Country 2019, held in conjunction with the Rockbridge Regional Fair. The quilt show will take place Thursday through Saturday, September 5 – 7, 2019.
The show will be on display at the Virginia Horse Center, Anderson Coliseum Mezzanine Exhibit Room.
